Hello and welcome to my sneaky world…

Hi I’m Helen,   I’m a fanatical recycler/ artist/ hoarder (hehe) that loves making beautiful objects out of other people’s trash! This is my sneaky way of recycling unwanted items into desirable handmade, individual fashion items. I want to show that recycling can be fun and that ones persons trash is another’s treasure.

I try and incorporate my beliefs in sustainable living in all aspects of my life, like growing my own vegetable “well having a good go at it”, having a compost bin, and most of all using packaging and other waste unrecyclable materials and plastics to make things around my home.

Its amazing how much we throw away, I think the fault really has to be with the people selling the products many of us would rather not have everything in layers of plastic and wrapping but often now you don’t get the choice. The other day I was in a major supermarket and saw a swede wrapped in plastic sweating under the fluro tubes… Yes that’s a swede, you don’t even eat the skin!!!!

Well this is one of the main reasons I started sneaky to highlight the things be throw away everyday and to show that we are wasting materials that could be put to better use… Also i love fashion and decorating my home with unusual interesting things, so i thought why not combine the two?

Plus i wanted to create a community of like minded people to show recycling can be fun, beautiful and utterly rewarding.
